If there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean

I’ve worked in customer facing jobs for 18 years. It is the most soul destroying endeavour ever. Some of the rudest most entitled people known to man, management picking their favourites to progress despite their severe lack of people skills. The people in charge thinking they know best, when 9 times out 10, they haven’t got a clue, and the evil phrase “It there’s time to lean, there’s time to clean” and what’s wrong with talking to your colleagues as long as the job gets done. Plus they pay you less than what you’re worth, and just enough to make you come crawling back for more. You are always made to feel like you don’t matter and they could happily replace you at a moments notice. And the worst part… Because I’m not qualified in anything, I am stuck doing these menial jobs in my 30’s. I couldn’t get a well paying job, even if I tried.
